Halloween Treats
Date: 2021-11-01 04:44 pm (UTC)Last month the food blogs I follow (okay, mostly Erin, she's three of these entries) were knocking it out of the park with their spooky season foods. These recipes are all labor intensive, but they look like so much fun and the food photography is so amazing I wanted to share them.
Pumpkin Spice Macarons from Food Doodles: Bright orange macarons with white filling and black jack-o-lantern faces drawn on them with edible ink.
Halloween Hot Chocolate Bombs from Food Doodles: White chocolate spheres decorated to look like mummies with stripes of white icing and two little candy eyes. Drop one into a mug and pour hot milk (or water) over it and it dissolves and mixes with the powdered cocoa mix and marshmallows inside to turn into incredibly labor intensive instant cocoa. These are probably best as gifts.
Chocolate Pudding Dirt Cups at Feasting on Fruit (vegan and paleo): Chocolate pudding dusted with crumbly chocolate cookie crumbs and teaming with gummi worms.
Witch Finger Cookies from Texanerin Baking (GF option on this one): Shortbread cookies formed to look like fingers with a blanched almond for a fingernail and strawberry jam lining the cuticles like blood.
