Ahaha yeah, I know it WOULD be, but my family don't use extra salt, and I never have, so I don't normally miss it; and the OMG THIS IS AMAZING effect I get from, like, bog standard tinned pumpkin soup? Do I want to forgo that? Not really! My family cookery tradition is... okay my mum is an excellent cook but spices were utterly unknown. I've levelled up via mustard and pepper and paprika, as well as chilli / curry carrying cookery traditions. Even with potato chips / fries, I do okay with herb dust and pepper (although ngl, if I was game to cook fries at home they would get salted).

In short I try to keep my home cooking salt down in order to eat delicious salts outside of home and have neither dietary worries nor boredom about it.
