Nice! So glad it worked out, and pleased to hear the recipe is a keeper for you. :-) I'm with you on not using the extra sugar on top. That was from the original recipe.

Hm, perhaps I will pick up some almond extract next time I'm at the store. And you make me glad I coincidentally stocked up on vanilla extract before everything went sideways.
