Thinking about this prompt reminded me that I have Sean Sherman's The Sioux Chef's Indigenous Kitchen out from my library, and there's a recipe for corn nuts in it.

This recipe for Roasted Corn Nuts from Brooklyn Farm Girl will give you the basic idea.

Sherman seasons his corn nuts with salt, sugar, and dried sumac, which I have never tried, but supposedly has a lemony taste? I'll have to go sniff some at the spice store. And Farm Girl just goes with sugar and salt.

All I need is to find some place locally where I can buy giant white corn.
