Date: 2019-12-12 01:33 am (UTC)I don't generally taste before it's ready for serving because I'm going for the 'correct' presentation.
It probably helps I've been cooking and baking for over 5 decades and
1) the burnt tongue doesn't affect just that bite but the entire day's tasting and
2) if it needs to wait for frosting/glaze/setting then the just baked portion isn't actually the taste I'm hoping for.
And all this means that yes, I do mostly 'wait that long'.
Tabs (who loves chocolate chip brownies fresh from the oven with still melted bits of chocolate!!)
