hello, and thank you for putting this comm together!
This is a great idea, and I was happy to hear about it. This is just to say HI! to everyone, and to say that I always read and sometimes post. I bake GF bread, usually in the bread machine--does that count as making it "with my own hands"? (I mixed the ingredients together myself...)
I've made pie, too--pumpkin--with store-bought GF crusts.
Looking forward to recipes and all that.

Thanks for dropping by
(no GF Timbits, sadly)
hot, home-made bread
Re: hot, home-made bread
Tim Horton's is a coffee-and-doughnuts chain started by the eponymous Canadian hockey star. It's spreading south, but spottily--I've never actually had any Timbits. (But Anna, from the fabulous Canadian Slings & Arrows show, is fond of them.)
I didn't see anything GF on the Tim's site, but perhaps Canadian members can testify?
Re: hot, home-made bread
I've seen Tim Horton's on the road between Boston and Chicago, a drive that J (my wife) and I make regularly. I always kind of sigh when looking at their pastries since no GF stuff. Decent coffee, though, IIRC.
