Happy birthday to us!

It's Pi Day (3.14) and [community profile] gluten_free is officially one year old!

Are you celebrating Pi Day with pie? Or maybe a crumble, crisp, cobbler, tart, turnover, galette, baked apple, or Brown Betty is more your speed. Whatever you're making—doesn't have to be pie related—come tell us about it in the comments.

I'm making baked beans, loosely from the second recipe on this page: https://www.galesmeadowfarm.com/blog-1/dry-bean-recipes

What I did is soak the beans as directed with salt, cook up some seasoned sausage with some kale, add to beans along with powdered mustard and powdered cloves, and now it's been in the oven about 3 hours. Then eat with brown rice. (I only make a 1/2 recipe at a time, because that's the size casserole dish I have. The first time I made a full recipe and had to clean the oven after.)

Gales Meadow Farm is a small family farm with a booth at the local farmers market. They process their beans themselves and don't grow wheat, so I can eat them! I still need to take enzymes with them though.
