After a few years of not being able to find these in the stores, Nairn's original Oat Grahams have returned to me. I couldn't remember if I liked the original or the stem ginger (they also come in chocolate chip), so I went with the original, which look super boring on their face:
Current Ingredients: Gluten free whole grain oats (72%), Sustainable Palm Fruit Oil, sugar, golden syrup, tapioca starch, raising agent (sodium bicarbonate), sea salt.
But I got them home and opened up one of the 4 adorable individually wrapped packages of 4 cookies (I'd prefer to eat 2-3 in a sitting, so I wish they were less adorably proportioned, but it does keep them fresh) and immediately remembered why I liked them so much. They taste very much like graham crackers in that they're not too sweet, the flavor of the grain comes through, and they have a crisp bite and a rustic nubbly texture. Simple, but very delicious.
